Google Easter Eggs: What are they?
Google Easter Eggs are fun, hidden features or games embedded within Google’s search engine and other Google products.
These Easter Eggs are Google’s way of adding a touch of humor and entertainment to its traditionally straightforward search services.

3.) Google Thanos Snap
Introduced in April 2019 to coincide with the premiere of the Marvel film Avengers: Endgame, the Google Thanos Easter egg let users witness the aftermath of Thanos’ universe-altering snap. This hidden feature, which mirrored the movie’s event where half of all life was eradicated, was eventually taken down by Google in mid-2020. However, enthusiasts can still experience it through this link: https://elgoog.im/thanos/
Initiate the Easter egg by selecting the Infinity Gauntlet symbol located in the info panel to your right. Upon doing so, half of the displayed search outcomes will fade away, mimicking turning to dust, all while sound effects play in the background. The number of search results will also decrease, reflecting the impact of Thanos’ snap.
Yet, by clicking the gauntlet once more, the search results revert to their initial appearance, mirroring the Avengers’ efforts to undo Thanos’ actions.
4.) Google Gravity
Search for “Google Gravity” and then click on “I’m Feeling Lucky”. Watch as everything on the screen, including the search results, succumb to the laws of gravity.
5.) Atari Breakout
Type “Atari Breakout” into Google Images and enjoy a round of the classic arcade game.
6.) Askew
Type “askew” into Google’s search bar and see your screen tilt slightly to the right.
7.) Google Pacman
Search for “Google Pacman” and enjoy a game of Pacman right on your search results page.
8.) Zerg Rush
Search for “Zerg Rush” and prepare to defend your search results from being eaten by the ‘O’s in Google’s logo.
9.) Google in 1998
Do you want to see what Google looked like when it was first launched? Type ‘Google in 1998’ into the search bar for a nostalgic journey back to the early days of the internet.
Google Easter Eggs add a layer of fun and surprise to our everyday searches. Whether it’s playing a game of Pacman or watching your screen do a barrel roll, these hidden gems certainly make Google more than just a search engine. So, the next time you’re on Google, why not try finding these Easter Eggs and see what other surprises Google has in store?
